It’s Time For You To Be Mighty

Good morning mighty women of valor!  In Judges 6, the Bible tells us the children of Israel did evil in the sight of God so God delivered them into the hand of the Midianites.  During that time in history, the Midianites were tormenting God’s people.  They would encamp around the Israelites and destroy their produce and “would leave no sustenance …, neither sheep nor ox nor donkey”.  They would enter the land and destroy it so much so that the Bible says “Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites.”  Then God’s people called upon Him.  In verse 11, the Bible tells us an angel of the Lord came and sat under a tree and watched Gideon as he threshed wheat so he could hide it from the Midianites. The angel appeared to Gideon and said “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!” Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites!”  Your circumstances may look bad, but God is speaking life over you today!  Will you receive it?

God is not human that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind.  Does he speak and not act?  Does he promise and not fulfill? Numbers 23:19 NIV
